As the IRS Newswire - May 20, 2013 - shows in the 2013 Filing Season Statistics, self-preparation of individual income tax grew by 4.4% from 2012 filings to 2013 filings.
While the percentage of taxpayers using the services of a tax professional remains almost the same from 2012 to 2013, use of the IRS website to prepare individual returns increased by 24.7%.
